Homework/Home Learning Links

The purpose of homework at Bream C of E Primary is to help the children ‘be the best that they can be’ and to provide opportunities for parents to be involved in their child’s learning. It enables children to practise and consolidate skills and aims to broaden the context of learning and provide enrichment and extension. Finally, it aims to enable children to take responsibility for their own learning, to become independent learners and to develop perseverance.

We encourage children to read at least three times a week and have their reading records signed by an adult. Our full homework policy can be found on the link below.

Covid-19
The Government have announced that schools will be closed from Friday 20/03/2020. Home packs are now available for all pupils by clicking on the link to the left hand side of the screen or by clicking 'show menu' at the top of this page on mobile devices (we have sent hard copies home). We have now uploaded 7 weeks worth of learning. If school closures go beyond this there will be further updates  and more work will be sent home and/or uploaded on to the website if required. Please collate all work completed and bring it back to school once we are open fully. Not all work will be returned but all work will be looked at and when this is over, we will have a celebration of all the work completed during school closure.

Obviously, if your child is unwell, then it is not expected that this work will be completed. Children will also be sent home with their logins for Spelling Shed, TT Rockstars and Lexia - links to which are listed below.
